Brock's Big Bite:

A festival of food and friends

Beaverton Special Events

Savour a taste of something new this year – the Township of Brock annual festival of food and friends will be hosted in a new location and on a new date. This unique event features locally grown cuisine, vendors, arts, and spirits, and draws visitors from far and near.

An initiative of Beaverton Special Events,

the majority of the proceeds from this

successful festival are used by the

organization to serve as seed funding

for other exciting community projects.

The majority of all profits are donated to various local charities and to projects that enhance our community. Some that have received donations from Brock's Big Bite include:

  • the unique park bench located outside of the CIBC in Beaverton
  • the Lions' splash pad in Beaverton
  • several initiatives of the Brock Youth Centre
  • Brock Accessible Kayak Launch Dock
  • accessible pathways from the Manor to the waterfront which are being developed by the Lions
  • and much more

Traditionally Beaverton Special Events has focused on the Beaverton area. However, events such as Brock's Big Bite reach out to the whole township and volunteers come from throughout the area to lend a hand. This year Cannington has take the reigns and together with a team from Beaverton, is moving the festival to another part of the Township. This year the donations will be made to Cannington charities.
